The AP published an article on the rising shrinkage (theft) rate of the evil corporation today.

Like a blatant invitation to steal, the article says:

“The new policy seeks prosecutions of first-time offenders only if they are between ages 18 to 65 and steal at least $25 worth of merchandise.”

Need a pack of batteries? A Gallon of Milk? Take it. IF you get caught, pay for it. IF you don’t, it’s free. Atleast you wont go to prison. It’s company policy. Stick it to the man.

WalMart is slowly Re-Increasing it’s loss prevention. A few years back the began to scale back their LP due to profit margines meating and exeeding what they concidered “acceptable loss” also known as 1% of a stores general proffit. now that “loss” is not just from shoplifting. 1% in all shrinkage; productivity, shoplifting, markdowns, internal theft, everything. That national average they speak of is that. But as word began to spread, numbers slowly began to rise again. It’s a mistake every retailer makes. They get a system that works and think they can slack off on it once everything is peachy, only to fall back into the slump they started in (my current employer is currently in the “scalling back” phase, they’ll learn soon just like wal mart did.
So dont get to comfortable with these “facts” the AP is putting out because they’re already out dated, take it from an LP insider, after all, we’re competetors on the sales floor but alli’s in the court room.
